Qigong is a moving meditation with slow movements and breathing techniques that promote relaxation and self-healing guiding life energy through the body. An ancient practice used to accumulate, cleanse, and refine our Qi (life force energy), improving the health and harmony of Body, Mind, and Spirit. QiGong is related to Tai Chi, but is generally thought of as more meditative and straight forward practice.
There are 8 main movements in the 8 Silk Brocade. Students will learn and understand the 8 animals within the Silk Brocade.
Movements cultivate focus, stress relief, foster self-confidence, self-control, and self-esteem.
Qigong can be used alone or complementary to other therapies for managing ADD/ADHD, anxiety, stress, blood pressure, arthritis, and other medical conditions.
The moving meditation offers other benefits such as: loosening muscles and building strength, balancing and strengthening of the organs, cardio-pulmonary function, CNS support, circulation, coordination, reducing recovery time……
